Local Mystery: Shades of the Broad Mountain?

Sorry it’s been so long since my last post but March was a crazy month.  This entry just to catch everyone up actually has to do with a near encounter we had a few weeks back on the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning, PA with something that I still don’t know how to classify.

It was about 10PM and we were coming south on Route 93 just approaching the descent on the Nesquehoning side of the mountain.  As we passed the truck pull-off and began down that hill, all of a sudden a large silverish-gray shade like object swooped in toward the driver’s side of the car and startled the hell out of me.   I started to say “Did you–” to my wife when a second shade swooped across the right side of the car passing on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.  This happened in a matter of a few seconds almost so fast that I wasn’t able to register fully what occurred for almost  a minute.

Finally, I turned toward my wife Katie and said, “You are going to think I’m crazy, but did you just see that?”  She answered, “I saw something, what did you see?”

“I think I saw a ghost,” was all I could stammer.  ”Two shades or specters come swooping down toward and past the car really fast.”  She said,” They looked to me like flying eels or serpents.”

What ever they were came close to both sides of the car.  They were not animals or birds.  They looked to be several feet long and very thin.  To me, they had a sheet like three dimensional appearance.  To Katie, they appeared to be slithering.

A week or so later, I spoke with a member of the Nesquehoning Fire Department and asked if anyone ever reported anything unusual out there on the mountain.  He said, “You mean like mountain lions and coyotes?”  I said, “No. Like ghosts or shades”  I described to him our encounter and he said that while people have reported mysterious lights on the mountain at night, he has not heard of our specters being seen by anyone.

This was truly one of the strangest things I have ever seen and I’m really not sure what it was even to now.  Perhaps it was a few spirits of the mountain.  I was undergoing an intense emotional stress at the time and maybe it triggered a glimpse at energies that we shared which are usually invisible.  What do you think?

Phoenix Light Mystery

As traffic reporter Andrea Robinson gave her early morning daily update a brilliant explosion of light occurred behind her phoenix lights paranormal light mystery through the veil strange sciencecaught by the live traffic camera as seen in this still photograph.  It almost looks like an explosion taking place in a nearby valley just beyond the range of the camera but no one has come forward to offer an explanation as to what caused the brilliant flash of light on the traffic camera.  Of course there are several possible explanations for such flashes of light.  Transformers could create the flash, but the utility companies have ruled that out.  Space debris could be a possible culprit that could create such a flash by glancing into the atmosphere as well as a space rock and such items I’m sure are not necessarily able to be tracked as easily by agencies.  My money would be one one of those categories of items especially if there was no noticeable sound associated with the flash of light.  What is your guess?  You can also watch the video below.

Is NASA Hiding An Asteroid Disaster?

NASA has been pretty good about notifying us about near misses but is iit possible their very own Near Earth Object Program has uncovered a potential disaster awaiting the Earth in less than a year on February 16, 2013?

I first found this on Common Sense Conspiracy yesterday in which the blogger describes in a YouTube video a discover of a possible anomaly in a simulation on NASA’s Near Earth Object Program that shows Earth colliding with an inbound asteroid 2012 DA14 on that date.  The reason for believing the collision will occur on that date is the model spikes into a negative number on that one date in February which the blogger believes indicates the rock intercepts the Earth.

NASA of course denies that the object is going to collide with the planet. As with several other near misses, they state this one will pass by us over 12,680 miles away far enough away to keep us from harm. One such story is found on EarthSky.

I believe that the negative spike in the program is due to the extremely small Astronomical Unit that the Earth and the asteroid reaches on that fateful date in February and is in a sense a rounding error.  Keep in mind one AU in 93 million miles so 12,000 miles is quite a small percentage.

In the end I think this one will be a safe passer, but if for some reason the calculations are off and this asteroid would hit us it would have the power of a thermonuclear bomb.

Einstein, Ghosts, the Soul and MY Challenge

einstein and ghosts: do ghosts exist? paranormal science

I stumbled across this article on ghosts the other day, Do Einstein’s Laws Prove Ghosts Exist? on Live Science.  It discusses whether Albert Einstein’s theories on energy and classical physics proves that ghosts could exist or are they figments of one’s imagination.  The author, Benjamin Radford, dismisses the whole idea by considering that the body is a chemical process plant that produces its own energy and when it dies that energy is dispersed as a heat exchange and that’s it.  So how could one possibly believe that ghosts exist is the gist of his argument?

My opinion on this article is that while Mr. Radford makes total sense and one could easily accept that explanation that when we die our conscience is dissipated as the energy ceases production and our body eventually returns to the dust from which it came.  I would like to point out that does not explain away the possibility of a small amount of energy leaving the body at the time of death as a cohesive wave or form at a frequency that we cannot see or no one has bothered to detect.

I have challenged and continue to challenge scientists to prove the soul does or does not exist with one test.  The test is this:  we are advanced enough that I believe we can measure the electrical output of our cells in total.  I believe that we can also estimate or count the number of cells in the human body. Therefore these two items should give us an empirical estimate as to the amount of electrical energy the body creates minus some energy loss due to imperfect chemical reactions and inefficiency.

If one does this, it should give the scientists a number or measurement of electrical output in the body.  The hypothesis is that the soul adds to that energy output and that the actual measurement will be slightly greater at least than the expected measurement.  Plain and simple test in my opinion especially with today’s technology.

So there it is…show me that the body produces the expected output or show me that the output is greater than what would be expected.  If it’s greater than that excess energy is the soul if it is composed of energy.  If there is no surplus then the soul is not composed of energy.

There is the challenge…right in the laboratory it can be done.  So who will do it?

Icelandic Monster Mystery Solved?

The Iceland Monster mystery may have been solved.  According to an article on the site Live Science, the Iceland monster that I reported on a few weeks ago appears to be an inanimate object trapped in the lake most likely a fish net.  Was the monster a hoax?  Not really.  The videographer who shot the video saw the object in the river and let his video camera run taping the footage for a time.  After he posted it, it took on a life of its own and became known as the Iceland Sea Monster.  While it is a cool video and quite convincing, a monster was not captured on the video.  Check out the full story on Live Science: Iceland River Monster Mystery Solved.

Space Mysteries: February Fireballs

This is a mini-entry today.  I came across this cool article on SPACE.COM in which they discuss fireballs that seem to appear in February in our night skies.  Scientists are puzzled because the fireballs are slow moving and penetrating as well as moving at odd angles in the night sky.

They have determined these fireballs originate from the asteroid belt from several different origins.  The question in scientists’ minds is what causes this to happen in February and how?  They are putting together a committee to see if they can answer these questions but in the meantime we have a month with some pretty impressive fireballs in the sky like the one I posted earlier this month.

Did Reagan End the Zero Year Curse? No, Here’s Why…

The year is 1809 and Governor William Henry Harrison

William Henry Harrison

President William Henry Harrison (Wikipedia)

is negotiating a treaty with the Shawnee and deceptively steals large tracts of land from Chief Tecumseh which has the end result of war with the Shawnee.  Chief Tecumseh and his brother the Prophet Tenskwatawa

The Prophet (Wikipedia

The Prophet Tenskwatawa

led several tribes to war attacking Harrison and his army at the Battle of Tippecanoe where Harrison earned his famous nickname “Old Tippecanoe”. Afterward the Prophet in vengeance supposedly placed a curse on the Harrison and the Presidents decreeing that Harrison would die and every President elected every 20 years after that would die as well. While the curse itself is a legend every President elected in a year divisible by 20 has died in office with the exception of one President Zachary Taylor who died in 1850 having been elected in 1848.  Yet the curse seems to have happened on every President elected from 1840 to 1980 when the curse appeared to be broken.  Or was it? The popular belief is that our 40th President Ronald Wilson Reagan broke the curse by surviving an assassination attempt by John Hinckley Jr. in 1981, but I contend that Reagan was the last President to succumb to the zero year curse by Alzheimer’s Disease.

Ronald Wilson Reagan (Credit: Wikipedia)

There is evidence that Reagan developed the disease in office in 1984.  In an OpEdNews article, Reagan’s son confesses that Reagan was showing signs of developing Alzheimer’s as early as 1984 even though the disease did not fully develop until 1994.  My contention is this fulfilled the zero year curse for two reasons, Reagan was in office in 1984 when the onset of the disease began to show itself and secondly, Alzheimer’s Disease is a terminal illness as outlined in this Wikipedia article. Obviously if we accept this premise that Reagan who died eventually in 2004 after a long battle with the illness was the last President in the Zero Year Curse, then why?  And why did George Bush seemingly break the curse in 2000 by serving two terms dodging his own attempted assassination by Vladimir Aryutinian in a fluke of luck in 2005. I propose the answer can be found in numerology, the study of numbers and their meanings.

Nine

Every number in numerology has characteristics and energies unique to themselves that influence.  Of consequence to this curse is the number 9.  Numerologically, nine is the ultimate of the numbers.  It represents the number of harmony and is the number of achievement.  Nine is the product of 3 and 3 both of which represent a number of completion.  Three is a number that is the sum of 1 and 2.  One represents leadership, virility and independence while two is the number of basic relationships.  This makes three a complete number that is the culmination of the two base numbers on which all of our other numbers derive. Nine is the ultimate outcome of 3 times 3 which multiplies this completeness and in the eyes of numerologists achieves a perfection.  This is a brief

Three

explanation of the numbers but how does it apply to ending the zero year curse?  Quite simple.  If one adds up the year Reagan was elected, 1+9+8+0 becomes 18 and 1+8=9, a numerological perfection and the last time I contend the curse activated. When Bush was elected in 2000, we achieve a harmonious relationship in that 2+0+0+0 equals 2, the number of relationships which I contend healed this curse and ended it. I know what your thought is.  But what about the other Presidents, why didn’t they end the curse?  Because believe it or not, the other President’s election years up to Reagan did not add up to nine.  Here’s the list

  • William Henry Harrison 1840=1+8+4+0=1+3=4
  • Abraham Lincoln 1860=1+8+6+0=1+5=6
  • James Garfield 1880=1+8+8+0=1+7=8
  • William McKinley 1900=1+9+0+0=1+0=1
  • Warren Harding 1920=1+9+2+0=1+2=3
  • Franklin Roosevelt 1940=1+9+4+0=1+4=5
  • John F. Kennedy 1960=1+9+6+0=1+6=7
  • Ronald Reagan 1980=1+9+8+0=1+8=9

Not only did Reagan’s election year having a nine finally end the curse, Bush by being elected the 43rd President of the United States was protected by being that president because 4+3 equals 7

Seven

and the number seven is the number of totality and the completion of creation.  Seven is a mystical number and in some senses represents an infinity. This number significance coupled with the two which is a relationship number signifying the achievement of harmony between the curse and the Presidency allowed the curse to end with Bush because of the juxtaposition of the Presidential sequence number in conjunction with the numerological significance of the election year.

In summary, the numbers that doomed Reagan carried forward and protected Bush allowing him to break Tecumseh’s curse at least for the moment.  There is always the chance now that this numerological conjunction is over that the curse will resurrect itself, but for now, this is why I believe Reagan did succumb and Bush did survive.  Time will tell.

Methane plumes and the missing winter

I was speaking with a friend the other night and he made a suggestion to me that I initially was dismissive of but as we talked and

img class=” ” title=”Riggs Glacier” src=”http://www.photolib.noaa.gov/700s/corp2034.jpg” alt=”" width=”210″ height=”135″ /

Riggs Glacier

he explained more it made me curious so I went searching and discovered this interesting article about a title=”methane” href=”http://digitaljournal.com/article/316125″ target=”_blank”Methane and the Arctic Ocean/a in the a title=”DigitalJournal” href=”http://digitaljournal.com” target=”_blank”Digital Journal/a.

Apparently large plumes of methane are being released in the Arctic Ocean the likes of which seem to be concerning some scientists who think they could contribute to the changing of the climate.  While no one is acknowledging this had an effect on our lack of winter this year, my friend pointed out that it is awful coincidental how warm our winter has consistently been through the entire season.  Unusual even for a La Nina from what I have been reading.

Another article in a title=”MethanePlumes” href=”http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2011/12/14″ target=”_blank”Common Dreams/a talks about how the melting Arctic ice is retreating releasing huge amounts of methane plumes into the Ocean and atmosphere.  This could speed up the rate of climate change on the planet more than any human intervention could be creating.  Another reminder of how minute humanity in the scheme of things really is.

Jurassic Park, For Real?…Stonehenge Theory

Long extinct flower has been resurrected by Russian scientists. Credit: AP2012

According to an Associated Press news story I came across on the Fox website, Russian scientists have been able to resurrect an extinct flower from tissue samples that were  frozen for 30,000 years.  Having succeeded with that, their next goal is to look for animal tissue in the hopes of resurrecting a long dead species of mammal perhaps the squirrel that buried the flower, but their ultimate goal is to reproduce a woolly mammoth.

While this is an admirable goal, the implications of this on our environment could be devastating.  What happens  if they inadvertently recreate something that we have no balance for in our society?  While this plant may be harmless, the next one may not be and it could disrupt our ecosystems if scientists are not careful.  What do you think?

Meanwhile other scientists have theorized that Stonehenge was a sound dampening device.  According to this Live Science article Stonehenge Inspired by Sound Illusion, author Stephanie Pappas discusses the research of acoustic scientist Steven Waller who has theorized and presented that Stonehenge was actually a sound dampening device that cancelled sound waves so that people standing within it would not hear any sounds, a truly magical effect.

While I think it could be part of the design of Stonehenge, I find it hard to believe these stones were dragged/placed/positioned in a calendar like formation just to dampen sounds.  Check the story out though it is pretty interesting.

Think You Know About UFOs? Watch This…

I saw a great documentary over the weekend that I DVRed on unidentified flying objects.  Now I tend to fall into the camp that believes that just because an object is designated as a UFO does not mean it is extraterrestrial or alien in nature.  With that said, I do believe that alien intelligence has visited this planet in some way in the past and probably even today.  There is just too much unanswered and even in recently declassified documents from the government are cases where the government cannot debunk UFO sightings.  Take the CIA files for example, or these declassified FBI vault files which describe the Roswell crash, subsequent UFO sightings and several investigations.

This documentary Black Box UFO Secrets found for free on this website Top Documentary Films details over a dozen cases of pilots

Documentary on UFOs

and astronaut transmissions that describe bogey and UFO’s some as large as a football field interfering with and dodging commercial airliners and space craft.  The Air Force and NASA routinely disavow such stories as wishful thinking, but the transmissions are there.

Furthermore, I remember the news stories about the one incident in 1986 in which a Tokyo airliner reported being chased by a bogey over Alaska on its way to Washington.  The Allentown Morning Call Saturday morning paper carried the story and in it the pilot described being chased by an object larger than a football field.  The Air Force and the control towers with which the pilot was communicating reported the UFO behind him and had it on their systems for minutes.  Three weeks later to the day, the control tower claimed that the bogey was an artifact and the Air Force claimed the pilot was mistaken there was nothing on their system and conjectured the pilot confused the rising planet Jupiter with the UFO.

May I point out at this time that if Jupiter ever appeared larger than a football field in our skies we have some major problems. Neither organization acknowledged again the incident and a friend of mine who WAS in the Air Force and in Washington State refused to talk about it. I knew my friend most of my life and I could tell he was hiding something.  Today he denies ever hearing about it.

It is this stonewalling and deliberate recantings that have not only occurred here, but in many other cases that leads me to believe it all is not a pipe dream.  While the truth may not be as fantastical as some want to believe, I don’t believe the truth is also that UFOs and aliens are fantasy.  There is a middle ground the governments of this planet are hiding and some time they should disclose it.  We will find the truth sooner or later.
